Which mouthpiece is right for you?
Your goals, your style, your sound – find the mouthpiece that suits you.

Start with your familiar setup
Bring your own instrument and a few familiar reeds. This lets you compare mouthpieces without changing too many other things at once.
Listen across the registers
Play long tones, simple scales and a short passage you know well. Notice how soft playing, articulation and register changes feel.
Take your time
Write down response, sound and comfort after each trial. A recording made from the same distance can help. Your evaluation is personal; a recommendation cannot replace your own playing test.
Include the reed
The mouthpiece and reed work together. Try different reed strengths if needed, changing just one variable at a time. Ask your teacher or an experienced specialist if you are unsure.
